Belle Engineering is a family-owned heating and air conditioning contractor.
For over 40 years, Belle Engineering has been providing quality craftsmanship and service to the Chicagoland and four state Midwestern Region of the United States. Founded on the principle of servicing customers well, Belle has always strived to be “A Step Ahead of the Competition.” This has been the guiding philosophy of Belle Engineering whether servicing a Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Institutional Customer.
Belle Engineering was incorporated in 1959 by Albert Wagner, with very humble beginnings at a Main Street garage in Downers Grove, Illinois. Mr. Wagner mainly focused on providing solutions for the residential sector by designing, installing, servicing and maintaining quality HVAC systems as well as closed hot water systems.
Belle Engineering quickly outgrew its space and in 1962 moved into an office warehouse on Belleaire Road in Downers Grove.
So successful was the company that only two years later, it had to once again relocate its headquarters to 1405 Ogden Avenue in Downers Grove; this would be its home for the next 24 years.
Around 1970, Albert Wagner decided it was time to expand his wildly successful business into other areas. Thus, Belle Engineering began to focus much of its efforts towards the commercial sector and has been expanding ever since.
After 23 years of dedicated service and happy customers, Albert Wagner retired in 1982 and handed over the reigns of his company to his two sons, Daniel and Richard Wagner. We haven't missed a step since.
In July of 1988, after establishing itself as a market leader in the HVAC industry, Belle moved to a larger home at 6801 Hobson Valley in Woodridge.
To better serve its residential and commercial customers, Belle had employees trained in the area of Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), by the renowned National Energy Management Institute in Washington D.C.
Belle Engineering’s success continued, causing the company to move to its present location on Plank road in Naperville, Illinois. The Naperville location has two buildings: a state-of-the-art office facility as well as a separate full-featured production shop for its pipefitters and sheet metal fabricators.
In May 2006, Belle Engineering continued forward under new ownership; keeping with the Belle tradition, the company remained in the hands of family. The new owners; Jeffrey Hawkins (a long time friend and employee) and Brandy Wagner-Oostman (the granddaughter of founder Albert Wagner and daughter of Daniel Wagner) & Husband Nicholas Oostman, look forward to continuing the success of Belle Engineering and growing even further into the HVAC industry.
"Since 1959, The First Call for Service has been to Belle. "Why don't you make it yours?
